My God is a tolerant God

I believe in a god of infinite attributes, and that to claim understanding the total truth of that god defeats the purpose of the alleged creation.
Acquisition of the "truth" can only lead to shut down of the intellectual systems. The job is done. We can all go home.
If we are the image of his being (and I think that's a fairly universal belief), how can the job ever be done? Is there a point where God would give up? That is not infinite. That is finite.
Therefore, claiming to have the "answer" and the source of the "truth" represents a dangerous foray into the realm of self-righteousness and falsely inflated worth.
Since the pursuit of truth must be forever ongoing and never finished, the atheist can no more be discounted than the Catholic, Protestant, Jew, Muslim, etc.
However, they can and should ALL be discounted to some degree on a regular basis. Their mere existence indicates fractures in the oneness of man. How can we get along when we feel ordained to argue?
But who am I? Just a guy. I'll live and die. Some will remember me; most won't. I won't alter the course of history or world opinion beyond my own scope. So it appears the most logical approach to this life would be tolerance. And liberty. I think that's what the creator wanted.
